Rickman-Acree-Corporon Piano Trio to perform Jan. 29 in Ormond Beach

The Rickman-Acree-Corporon Piano Trio will play the music of Clara Schumann, Franz Schubert and Johann N. Hummel during a concert at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29, at Lighthouse Christ Presbyterian Church at 1035 W. Granada Blvd.

The trio features pianist Michael Rickman, violinist Susan Pitard Acree and cellist Joseph Corporon. The performance is part of the 2022-2023 concert season of Daytona Solisti, a local chamber music ensemble based out of the church. A $20 donation is requested at the door. 

The collaboration between Rickman and Pitard Acree has spanned 17 years, according to a press release. Rickman has performed at Carnegie Hall and at venues in London, Paris, Toronto, Chile, Latvia and across the United States. He retired from Stetson University in 2017 after 34 years as a piano professor.

Pitard Acree previously played violin in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for 22 years, performing in Carnegie Hall, London, Chicago, Paris and more.

Joseph Corporon is principal cellist of the Daytona Solisti Chamber Orchestra and is the director of the Flagler Youth Orchestra.
