Salty Kids Preschool follows the yellow brick road for fall fest theme

Now at full capacity, Salty Kids Preschool hosted a "Wizard of Oz"-themed fall festival Wednesday night.

The second-annual Fall Festival at Salty Kids Preschool, 221 Vining Court, drew crowds Oct. 30 for games, music, refreshments, carnival games and a petting zoo.

“We had it last year to raise awareness of our school and, it was so much fun, we decided to have it again,” said Director Dawn Bridgeman, adding that the school, for kids ages 12 months to 5 years, is now starting its second year with full capacity, at 37 students.

The staff and children all dressed in costumes based on “The Wizard of Oz.” A backdrop was created showing the rainbow, the tornado and other things from the movie. Last year, the theme was “101 Dalmatians.”

“It’s worth all the work seeing the kids laughing and having a blast,” Bridgeman said.
