The Seabreeze baseball team will wrap its regular season April 18, then prepare for the district tournament.

Four Seabreeze High School seniors played what could be their last home game Friday, but they don’t expect it will be their last win.
Seniors Anthony Campanella, Harley Feeley, Eddie McGarity and Dale Tanguilig were honored during Senior Night for their fours years with the Seabreeze baseball program.
“They've persevered,” coach Anthony Campanella said. “They’ve gone through some teams that ... didn’t play so well. And then, obviously, this year, I think they’re all coming together. Their leadership is bringing all these younger guys together.”
The team, which has a junior-heavy roster, are likely to be the 2-seed in the district tournament, which starts April 22, but got one more win at home before the regular season finale April 18, at Spruce Creek.
Campanella, the starting pitcher, threw a complete game, giving up only one run in the 7-1 victory. The Sandcrabs scored three runs in the second, two runs in the third and another two runs in the fifth inning.
“It feels good,” said Campanella, who also drew three walks and stole a base. “It always feels good to win, especially on Senior Night, for all the other seniors.”
Feeley and McGarity scored runs, and Tanguilig was 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base.
“Out of our last 12 games, we’ve won 10 of them,” coach Campanella said. “So that’s something positive going into our district tournament.”
And it’s clear the expectation for the district tournament is a title. To do that, the Sandcrabs expect they’ll have to knock off Edgewater.
“We beat Edgewater before — they’re the No. 1 seed — so I don’t see why we can’t beat them again,” Anthony Campanella said.
The Sandcrabs beat Edgewater 3-2 March 15, in an 11-inning game, after McGarity scored the winning run.
“I know that we are the best team in our district,” McGarity said. “And if we play our game, we’ll win it, no doubt.”
