It's jingle bell time and a swell time for the third-annual Santa on Patrol program.

Santa Claus is coming to town, and the jolly old elf is traded his sleigh in for an Ormond Beach Police Department patrol vehicle to deliver toys to the good girls and boys of Ormond Beach.

From Dec. 14 to Dec. 23, the most popular guy in a red suit — along with Ormond’s finest — is patrolling the city and issuing “Naughty or Nice” notices to children after receiving confirmation from dispatchers in the North Pole.

You won’t know when or where Santa might show up, so you better be good for goodness sake!

Santa on Patrol wishes to advance the practice of community policing through growing the relationship between the community and police officers. The entirety of the program was funded by donations from local citizens. Please contact Officer Jay Brennan with any questions at 676-3526 or [email protected]
