Seabreeze running back Josh Stevens picked up an offer from Youngstown State University on Tuesday.

Stevens said he has been talking to Youngstown State coaches for the last two days, and on Tuesday, coach Eric Wolford told him they wanted to offer him.

This is Stevens’ first offer. He is being recruited as a running back, he said.

Stevens said he will likely take a visit after the season.

“What this offer means to me is that I am capable to do anything with hard work and focus, and it makes me elated to see my progress pay off,” he said.

The Youngstown State Penguins are a NCAA Division I program that competes in the Missouri Valley Conference.

The Penguins are 8-2 this season, with their only losses coming to Michigan State and Northern Iowa. They are currently in second place in the conference.
