Security guard stops man with a gun from entering Tropic Sun Towers

The police are still searching for the suspect.

An unknown white male pointed a handgun at a security guard at Tropic Sun Towers June 5, and yelled at him to "give it up." 

The security guard knocked the gun out of the suspect's hands, threw him to the ground, and then threw him out of the lobby. The suspect then yelled, “Call the police” and left the area.

Police are investigating the attempted robbery that happened around 5:07 a.m. at the hotel, located at 591 S. Atlantic Ave.

The suspect is approximately 18 to 25 years old, 5’06” tall, 160 pounds, with a brown crew-cut hair style, no facial hair, and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie, dark tennis shoe with white soles and a blue bandana or cloth covering his face.
