Two young dogs have been featured as this week's Halifax Humane Society Adoptable Pets of the Week.

The first is Merritt, a 3-year-old terrier and American Staffordshire mix dog with a black and white coat. He is one the volunteers' favorite dogs to walk, as he is friendly and loves to run around the exercise area. His fee has been paid by a donor, and he has been at HHS since March 3.

The second dog is Legend, a 4-year-old terrier and American Staffordshire mix dog with a fawn-colored coat. He has recently been treated for heartworm, and possible adopter will need to continue treatment. His adoption fee costs $35, and he has been at HHS since Jan. 23.

To adopt Merritt or Legend, or to see other adoptable animals, visit the Halifax Humane Society's main campus, located at 2364 LPGA Blvd., or call 274-4703.
