Friday night was a time for dancing, for Ormond Beach’s young-at-heart.

The Senior Center’s inaugural Valentine’s Day Sweet Heart Ball, organized by Halifax Health, was held 6:30-10 p.m., with proceeds benefiting the Volusia-Flagler United Way and the Volusia County Council on Aging.

With music supplied by Senior Center staple band, The Blue Notes, attendees were treated to a sit-down, heart-healthy dinner before hitting the dance floor.

Among those in attendance were Dick and Toni Hanley, high school sweethearts who have been married for 58 years.

Hilton Ramirez, 99, not only showed off some serious moves, but he also broke out his maracas and played along with the band for a song.

The dance drew about 30 seniors.
