An Ormond Beach competitive soccer teams wins tournament, results from the Broncos Division All Stars Competition, and summer volleyball signups.

+ Ormond girl soccer stars win 2-1, take tournament

The Ormond Beach Soccer Club’s competitive 10U girls team won the Greater Central Florida Youth Soccer League Championship May 11, by beating the Port Orange Stingrays 2-1.

They defeated the Kissimmee Cyclones 2-1 in the semifinal game.

Tryouts for the Ormond Beach competitive soccer teams will be May 28 to 31, at the Ormond Beach Sports Complex.

+ Derby time: Youth baseball all-stars show their skills

The Ormond Beach youth recreational baseball league held the Broncos Division All-Stars Competition May 11. The winners, in order, are listed as follows:

Pitching: Christian Mahlstedt, Rhys Casey and Dylan Gilmore.

Running: Rhys Casey, J.J. Sousa and Colton Patterson.

Home Run: Rhys Casey, Danny Flacco, and Skylar Hutchinson.

+ Get ready to set and spike: Youth volleyball sign-ups

Registration for Ormond Beach’s youth summer volleyball league (ages 9-16, as of Sept. 1, 2013) started May 13.

Games, training and practices will be held 6:15-8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, at the Nova Community Center, 440 N. Nova Road, from June 25 to August 8.

League registration for residents is $42 (proof of residency is required) and $64 for non-residents. Register at 399 N. U.S. 1., or at www.ormondbeach.org.
