Sidelines: Sandcrabs girls soccer wins five straight

After starting the 2017 season with back-to-back losses, the Seabreeze girls soccer team has now won its last five games in a row to improve to 5-2 on the season. During the winning streak, the Sandcrabs have surrendered just four goals and have recorded two shutouts.

Nov. 13: Seabreeze 5, Father Lopez 1

Nov. 16: Seabreeze 8, Taylor 0

Nov. 17: Seabreeze 8, Leesburg 0

Nov. 20: Seabreeze 4, Matanzas 1

Senior Kaylee Haas led the Sandcrabs with two goals against Father Lopez. Freshman Gia Laoun scored three goals against Taylor. Laoun and senior Alauna Neely scored two goals each against Leesburg. And junior Abby Gabriel scored two goals against Matanzas. Neely is the team's leading scorer with six goals.

Seabreeze boys soccer nets win against Leesburg

The Sandcrabs' boys soccer team (2-0-1), which opened the season with a 2-1 win over Merritt Island, defeated Leesburg 7-1 on Nov. 14 and tied Taylor 2-2 on Nov. 16.

Mainland boys soccer winless through three games

The Buccaneers' boys soccer team, which started the season on Nov. 15, dropped the first three games by a combined score of 21-2.

Nov. 15: Matanzas 4, Mainland 0

Nov. 17: Spruce Creek 9, Mainland 2

Nov. 20: DeLand 8, Mainland 0

Buccaneers girls soccer captures first win of the season

The Mainland girls soccer team (1-3) won its first game of the season in a game against Deltona on Nov. 16.

Nov. 16: Mainland 3, Deltona 1

Nov. 20: Pine Ridge 8, Mainland 1
