Declawed: ‘Crabs crushed on last-minute goal
Nate Monsanto’s diving header with a minute remaining Jan. 4 lifted Flagler Palm Coast past Seabreeze with a 3-2 victory.
The Sandcrabs took an early 1-0 lead, with Jacob Putting’s first goal of the game. FPC’s defense, which has been stellar all season, allowed Putting to score twice in the first half.
FPC’s Johnny Osorio scored before the first half ended to cut Seabreeze’s lead to 2-1.
FPC was able to turn the tables in the final 40 minutes and control the time of possession. Osorio found the net for his second goal in the 60th minute for the equalizer.
Then, Monsanto connected on a free kick by Steven Dack for the game-winner.
Seabreeze was outshot 12-4.
