Rockefeller Gardens transformed into a fish market last weekend, complete with carnival games and local vendors, for the fourth-annual Riverfest Seafood Festival.

“This is a fundraising event for Ormond Beach Mainstreet,” Julia Truilo, Mainstreet’s executive director, said. “The event can bring in about $20,000.”

And a large portion of those funds, she added, come from out-of-town visitors, who stay in local hotels and eat at local restaurants.

"This is the third year we’ve done it,” said Jeff Bartholomew, owner of Lulu's Oceanside Grill. “Just get our name out here, let people try our food. We have fish tacos ... seafood stew and smoked salmon dip today."

The festival was also attended by local restaurants Hull’s Seafood Market, Super Grouper, Crabby Chris’ Crabshack and others.
