Suspcious fires reported at Central Park

A small wooden walkway was destroyed.

A small wooden walkway was destroyed in one of three small fires in Central Park Tuesday morning. 

Officers from the Ormond Beach Fire Department and the Ormond Beach Police Department are investigating the suspicious fires that may have been started overnight at the park off Fleming Avenue. 

At approximately 7:39 a.m., officers responded to Central Park in reference to several small fires. The investigation is ongoing. 

Anyone who has any information in reference to this incident is urged to contact the Ormond Beach Police Department at 677-0731. Anyone who wishes to remain anonymous can call Crimestoppers at 277-TIPS or toll-free at 1-888-277-TIPS.

Those who provide information to Crimestoppers can qualify for a reward of up to $1,000.
