That's history: Civil War soldier-actors re-enact a local battle

The Pellicer Creek Raid re-enactment was held this weekend at the Florida Agriculture Museum, in Palm Coast, hosted by Ormond Beach's Bruce Piatek.

Canon fire boomed through the air last weekend, at the Florida Agricultural Museum, in Palm Coast, as Union and Confederate soldier-actors re-enacted the Pellicer Creek Raid. The event was hosted by Ormond Beach resident Bruce Piatek, who directs the museum.

Piatek said that Civil War re-enactments like this one invite guests to experience the war up close and personal.
