Ormond Memorial Art Museum presents: "Journey to the Sea"
A Maryland museum director turned painter is coming to Ormond Beach to show his ocean-inspired creations, which he often thinks up while on his surfboard.
Stephen Estrada's "Journey to the Sea" collection will debut at the Ormond Memorial Art Museum on Nov. 17 and will run until Jan. 14. The museum will host an opening reception on 6-8 p.m., Nov. 17 and Estrada will be in attendance to answer any questions about his oil paintings.
Having lived in California for a large part of his life, Estrada loved to hike and surf. He began to paint because of his mother, who was also and artists and encouraged him to find beauty in the outdoors.
OMAM is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 12-4 p.m. on the weekends. A $2 donation is requested.
