Tree of life: Halifax Genealogical Society installs new officers

Ormond Beach's genealogical society welcomed some new faces recently.

The Halifax Genealogical Society recently presented its officers and directors for 2014. They are as follows:

President: Linda Vivian

Vice President: Kathy Stickney

Treasurer: Bill Vivian

Archivist: Jean Hallenbeck

Recording Secretary: Patricia Craven

Corresponding Secretary: Marianne Pitts

Directors: Bernardette Zappala, Barbara Banic, Beth Saxon and Karen Keating.

With a mission to stimulate and promote local interest in genealogy research, the society provides people with information to help with their own genealogy and preserving the history of Ormond Beach.

Meetings are held at the Ormond Beach Regional Library auditorium the second Thursday of each month, September through May.
