Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center has opened a Centra Care urgent care facility at 1245 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach. The 5,200-square-foot facility has both adult and pediatric-trained physicians. Centra Care also has locations in Daytona Beach and Port Orange.

Green Bank purchased
First Green Bank, which has a location at 175 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach, has been purchased by Seacoast Banking Corp. of America, according to a press release from Seacoast. The purchase will expand Seacoast’s presence in the Orlando market and Fort Lauderdale, the statement said.
All First Green Banks will become Seacoast Banks, but there is a possibility some will close. In a conference call with media, Dennis S. Hudson III, Seacoast chairman and CEO, said there are six Green Banks within three miles of a Seacoast so locations may be “combined.”
Hudson told the Orlando Sentinel that open positions at Seacoast would be held for Green Bank employees.
First Green operates seven branches in the Orlando, Daytona Beach and Fort Lauderdale markets.
Closing of the acquisition is expected early in the fourth quarter, following approvals from regulatory authorities and First Green shareholders.
First Green shareholders will receive 0.7324 shares of Seacoast common stock for each share of First Green common stock. The transaction is valued at approximately $132.6 million.
Organized in 2009, First Green has deposits of approximately $629 million and loans of $629 million.
Green Bank was known for environmentally responsible initiatives and its living wage plan for employees. Hudson told the Sentinel that it is too early to tell how the environmental and social approach will apply to future business.
Pool store adds showroom
Blue Ribbon Pools has opened a state-of-the-art outdoor lifestyle showroom at 3670 S. Ridgewood Ave., Port Orange. It’s a “one-stop-shop” for all things related to outdoor recreation or entertaining in the backyard, according to a press release. Canadian-based retailers Clair de Lune and Kasa Living have opened at One Daytona, the retail area across from Daytona International Speedway. It’s the first mainland U.S. location for both home goods outlets.

Homes sales guaranteed
Watson Realty Corp. has introduced a Guaranteed Sale Program for sellers.
Customers who participate in the program have their home appraised by qualified professionals to determine an accurate selling price. If the home doesn’t sell on the market at that price, Watson will buy it, according to a press release.

Attorney Frankel recognized
The American Institute of Family Law Attorneys has recognized attorney Jared A. Frankel in its 2018 10 Best Family Law Attorney for Client Satisfaction list.
The institute publishes an annual list of the Top 10 Family Law Attorneys in each state as a research aid for the public. The selection process is based on client and peer nominations and independent evaluation.

Rotary helps school
Rotary Club of Downtown Ormond Beach and Sam’s Club 8138 of Daytona Beach donated food for the entire school at Osceola Elementary School for their Field Day. Osceola Elementary School is a Title 1 school that the Rotary Club of Downtown Ormond Beach has adopted as one of their community outreach programs where 15 Rotarian mentors visit weekly.

Marketing director named
Rick Cazares, of Ormond Beach, has been named director of employed physician marketing for Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners, a group of more than 160 primary care physicians and specialists for the Florida Hospitals in Volusia and Flagler counties.
Cazares previously worked for Getty Images as the North American marketing manager. He also served as director of marketing and public relations for a health system in Chicago.
