Vehicle found in river

A vehicle was found submerged in the Tomoka River at the 2000 Block of North Beach Street on Tuesday, Dec. 20. Ormond Beach police found damage to a guardrail at the site and a search of the area located the vehicle in the river. No occupants were located but the crash is still under investigation.

Assisting local police are the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the U.S. Coast Guard.

The time of the crash was not provided by police.
