Volusia County Councilwoman Heather Post is ready to lend a helping hand after Hurricane Irma.

Post, whose district includes incorporated and unincorporated Ormond Beach, Ormond-By-The-Sea, Holly Hill and West Daytona Beach, has offered to assist residents within her district with post-hurricane cleanups. She said she knows there are citizens in her district that are alone, elderly or unable to do any cleanup on their property by themselves — this includes water and debris.

If you or someone you know is in need of assistance with manual labor and has no one around to help, Post asks they contact her.

"I am out and about assisting where I can and I am not afraid to roll my sleeves up and get dirty," said Post in a text message.

Post began her four-year term at the Volusia County Council in January, 2017.
