Volusia County schools closed until Wednesday

All activities and athletic events for Monday and Tuesday are also canceled.

All Volusia County Schools will be closed Monday, Oct. 10, and Tuesday, Oct. 11, as well as all school activities and athletic events for those days. The district needs time to make sure all power is restored to schools, leaks are repaired, classrooms are cleaned and downed trees and limbs are removed.

Makeup days will be determined at a later date.
