The first Riverside Walking Tour was held June 8, and took residents to the three oldest buildings in Ormond Beach.

The tour started at the Pilgrims Rest Primitive Baptist Church, which sits near the northwest corner of the Granada Bridge. The church was originally located at Tomoka Settlement, on land now included in the Tymber Creek subdivision.

The church has since been moved twice, most recently in 1988.

The next stop was the Ormond Yacht Club, just north of the church. It’s currently being renovated by a local organization, but includes a billiards table from the 1920s as well as documents from 1911, the charter year, when John Anderson and Joseph Downing Price were among its members.

The final stop of the tour was the Anderson-Price building, which was built in 1916 by the Women’s Village Association, and it still used for events today.

The walking tour will be begin at 1 p.m., on the second Saturday of every month.

For more information or to register for the tour call 677-7005.
