The liquor store will measure about 5,000 square feet. This is an amendment to their Planned Business Development zoning.

A public hearing on the matter is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14, at City Hall.

The FUTURES Foundation for Volusia County Schools received a $30,000 grant from the Duke Energy Foundation, which will be used for Project IBIS at Rose Bay, teacher and classroom mini-grants and energy-related teacher trainings.

In addition, the grant supports teacher training, which helps provide local participating STEM teachers with more learning tools.
