Water back on for some residents, city distributing water for those in need

The city will distribute water today at two locations.

Story update: Oct. 9. The city will continue distributing water daily at the Performing Arts Center on N. U.S. 1 and the former Food Lion store on East Granada Boulevard. until the boil water order is lifted are until the supply is depleted. 

 

City crews are working to bring water service back to normal levels. Until that has occurred, residents are encouraged to conserve water to the maximum extent possible and report any water leaks immediately to 676-3220.

Once water service has been restored, any water used for drinking or cooking should be brought to a rolling boil for 1 minute before consumption. Please call 676-3220 with any questions.

To assist residents needing water, bottled water has been brought in. Water will be distributed today as follows:

  • From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center, 399 North U.S. 1
  • From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Old Food Lion location, 101 East Granada Blvd. (corner of Halifax Ave. and Granada Blvd.)

Please bring identification of an Ormond Beach address. The water will be in cases of 24 bottles (16 ounces each) and will be limited to one case of 24 bottles per household.
