Watercolor workshops, art journey to be offered at The Casements

Janet Rogers, a nationally known watercolorist, will drop by Ormond Beach in February, to lead art workshops.

Ormond Beach residents can stop by The Casements this month for their dose of fine art.

Nationally known watercolorist Janet Rogers will pay a visit. 

Rogers will offer four workshops at The Casements on how to paint watercolor subjects such as flowers, faces and figures.

The two-day workshop, called “Expressive Watercolors with Flowers,” will be held Feb. 10-11 and Feb. 17-18, with a fee of $165. The three-day workshop, called “Expressive Watercolors: Faces & Figures,” will be held Feb. 12-14 and Feb. 19-21, with a fee of $250.

All workshops start at 9 a.m.

Rogers has taught throughout the United States and Europe. The award-winning artist is also a member of Florida Watercolor Society and the South Carolina Watercolor Society.

Trish Vevera’s 'art journey' on display through February.

Ormond Beach artist Trish Vevera chose the most historic moments in the 50 years of her artistic life to feature in her February show at The Casements.

Her exhibit, “Vintage Vevera,” will be on display Feb.3-28. The Casements will host a reception 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8.

The event is free to the public.
