One of several community groups in town to host a St. Patrick's Day dinner party last weekend, the Knights of Columbus at Prince of Peace Catholic Church held its second-annual corned beef and cabbage night Saturday, March 16, in the parish's hall.
The $10 dinner ($5 for kids) also featured Guinness on tap, as well as a full cash bar, with all of the money raised benefiting the Knights' charitable activities, including veterans' programs and a food bank.
Knight Ron Nowviskie estimated the dinner's collection to be around $2,000.
The dinner also included music, bingo, door prizes and a 50-50 raffle.
