11 a.m. — 900 block of Margarita Circle
Trespass. A 54-year-old woman was ordered to remain away from the residence she once lived in after a few altercations involving her sister and the realtor selling the home. Police report that the defendant's sister, as the executive of estate of their late mother, and the realtor have been trying to sell the home since March.
The defendant has expressed her displeasure at this by becoming violent with her sister and other family members, which resulted in a previous arrest. Though she was evicted from the home, the realtor has been experiencing troubles with his "For Sale" sign. Recently, he told police he found his wooden sign placed in the front driveway reading "trash" to be taken away.
In addition to trespass charges, the defendant was subsequently charged with petit theft for the $50 sign since the realtor was able to retain the wooden posts but not the actual sign.
7:04 p.m. — Intersection of Fleming Avenue and South Nova Road
Reckless driving. A 17-year-old boy received a citation for his driving after he forced a police officer to chase him down South Nova Road. The boy told police he did not see or hear him because he was in a hurry and was listening to loud music.
The officer first spotted his vehicle around the intersection of Alabama Avenue and Nova Road and followed him as he weaved in and out around traffic before he activated his emergency lights and siren. The officer reported he got up to almost 73 mph and was not able to catch the boy.
After the officer turned off his lights, the vehicle slowed down and that's when the officer was able to conduct a traffic stop. The boy said he was running late to pick up his father at Walmart and that he was getting annoyed by the "slow moving traffic."
11:42 a.m. — 1200 block of Granada Boulevard
Larceny. A 35-year-old man's wallet was stolen from the cup holder on his bicycle by a fellow cyclist who approached him with a friend after they saw he was struggling with a wobbly front bike tire.
The victim told police he stopped to see what was wrong with his bike when the men came up to him, one of whom had a tool bag attached to the front of his bike. After stealing the victim's wallet, the man fled. The victim told police the other man didn't leave right away but took off when he mentioned the theft.
The victims said the suspect looked like a "tweaker."
