Criminal mischief. A 39-year-old Bunnell man was charged with criminal mischief with damage to property after he ran across the top of some bushes outlining the paved portion of the Auto Solutions' parking lot. The man was seen on video removing an old tire from the nearby dumpster and placing it in the bed of his truck. Police report he then walked to the front of his truck and appeared to be looking at the bushes.

"Just get it over with"

2:42 p.m. — Intersection of North Beach Street and West Granada Boulevard

Hit and Run. Police arrested a 34-year-old man from Daytona Beach after he struck the front driver's side panel of a vehicle waiting to turn onto Granada. The man continued north on Beach Street until he was stopped by police.

Police report the man was agitated after being identified, and spontaneously said "let's get this over with." The officer on scene could smell alcohol on the man's breath and noted he was swaying as he stood before him. He continued to make spontaneous statements like "I'm here to fix the problem so let's get this over with."

When police told him a witness saw the crash and followed him as he fled the scene, the man replied: "I don't know what to tell ya, I went home." The man continued to get more agitated until police placed him in handcuffs.
