Ormond Beach’s Victoria Legut married Justin Ausanka, of Auburn, Mass., in May, on a local beach, with their reception at the home of Legut's parents, Vince and Belinda.

Legut, a Daytona State College graduate, and Ausanka, a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, have known each other about 13 years. They went their separate ways after college, but when Legut moved back to Ormond Beach from Colorado in 2011, the two were reunited. They have since bought a home in Titusville, where Ausanka works as a NASA contractor and Legut works in healthcare, and they adopted two puppies, Piper and Adeline.

Lindsay Brock: Lions Club award recipient

The Lions Club’s Youth Exchange Scholarship Trust Fund awarded local Lindsay Brock a scholarship, in recognition of her outstanding scholastic achievement and citizenship. Eleven students were awarded scholarships, out of more than 100 applicants in the district, which includes areas south to Cocoa Beach and west to Lakeland.

Stand up straight: Like father, like son

From a fifth-floor balcony in the Tidesfall Condos, local photographer Rick de Treville used a 300-millimeter zoom lens to capture a father teaching his son how to surf, along with a lot of other activity in the waves.
