The sanctuary at Shepherd of the Coast Lutheran Church was rocking Wednesday night with 70 children during the introductory music and skit section of Vacation Bible School. The curriculum, “Gotta Move!” from The Go Fish Guys, is designed to give children a Biblical understanding of what it means to be a Christian and walk with God.

“A lot of the kids we get for VBS have never seen a Bible or heard of Jesus, so the first thing we want to do is introduce them to the Good News and from there get families into church,” said Emily Ore, co-director of the week-long evening program with Christine Galt. “Sometimes the kids being excited about Jesus, gets parents to prioritize faith in their home.”
