New officers signed up for singing group; senior dancers win competition; Casements gets free tree from Garden Club; and, a birth announcement.

Sweet Adelines officers installed
New officers for the Sweet Adelines International Song of the Coast chapter, a barber shop quartet-style women’s group which rehearses Mondays at Tomoka United Methodist Church, at 1000 Old Tomoka Road, have been installed.
New officers include Amy Mielke, treasurer; Barbara Abendschein, vice president; Susan Kaznoski, president; Carolyn Deni, recording secretary; and Betsy Wilber, corresponding secretary.
Susan Kaznoski also received the Sweet Adeline of the Year Award.

Senior tap dancers take first
The Tap Dolls, Ormond Beach’s Micki Mansfield, JoAnn Schafer and Laura Hughes, of Dance Express Productions, in Holly Hill, earned first place in the 40-plus age division at the Encore Dance Competition last month, at the Peabody Auditorium.

Branching out: Garden Club donates tree
Keeping up with its mission to beautify areas of Ormond Beach, the Ormond Beach Garden Club donated a Crepe Myrtle tree to The Casements on Arbor Day, last month.
