Allstate Foundation donates $1,000 to Domestic Abuse Council

The Domestic Abuse Council was recently granted $1,000 from the Allstate Foundation. 

As a part of their Purple Purse Campaign, the Allstate Foundation recently granted $500,000 to 146 nonprofit organizations in the United States with missions are to provide services to victims of domestic abuse. The Domestic Abuse Council was granted $1,000.

The campaign purpose is to raise awareness through grassroots networking and each organization receives money to launch its campaign and the idea is to engage the local community and beyond.

It runs from Sept. 2 to Oct. 2.

Through challenges with the Purple Purse, DAC has received more than $100,000. Members of the community may make a donation between $10 and $10,000. To qualify, donations must be made online at https://www.crowdrise.com/PurplePurse-VolusiaCountyDAC.
