The Matanzas Pirates’ soccer team defeated the Edgewater Fightin’ Eagles 4-0 Monday, Dec. 1, at Matanzas High School.

Bryan Mejia, Dakotah Casale and Nick Weber all scored and assisted on a goal. Daniel Ramirez scored the other goal, and Steven Grange picked up an assist.

Goalkeepers Daniel Cerdeira (5) and Sam Manns (6) finished the game with 11 total saves for the Pirates.

Matanzas has scored over 40 goals this season while allowing less than 10, which is, by far, the best in the district.
