Vessel 'Lynnie' washed up on shore Friday near the Florida Hospital Oceanside.

If you noticed a stranded boat on one of your beach walks, fear not. There was not a tragic shipwreck in Ormond Beach.

According to Volusia County Beach Safety, a man whose name has not yet been released, flipped the boat in a storm on his way to Jacksonville. The boat rolled over once, and he got on his raft and made his way back to shore. He was not injured.

The boat, named "Lynnie," washed up on shore near the Florida Hospital Oceanside on Friday. A salvage company has been contacted to retrieve it.

A sign attached to the boat stated the owner of the vessel will be liable for the removal, storage and publication of notice. It is not known at this time whether the man will have to pay a fine.
