After $25,000 was stolen from their offering box, Oasis Church experienced a little community kindness.

"Both the community and our church family just kind of rallied together," Rev. Drew Powell said. "People that heard our story who weren't even a part of our church went online and gave. There is actually still money coming in. We're getting close to $20,000 that we've raise after the money was stolen."

Powell said that the message of their church was more powerful then a stolen offering box.

"We feel like the message that was put out there was greater then anything else that could have happened," Powell said. "From us at the church we would love to thank the City of Ormond Beach. I feel like (the response) was a testament of our city. It's a really great place to live."
