In the latest AARP Bulletin, there was a news brief about the work of a group of health and wellness leaders committed to breaking the taboo about discussing the end of life. In August, they launched a website called Let's Have Dinner and Talk About Death.

Here is their opening statement:

“How we want to die represents the most important and costly conversation America isn’t having. We have gathered dozens of esteemed medical and wellness leaders to create an uplifting interactive adventure that transforms this seemingly difficult conversation into one of deep engagement, insight and empowerment.”

Palm Coast resident Deborah Susswein will start the conversation 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan 22, at Panera. Let's Have Dinner and Talk About Death has created a series of three conversational prompts to explore.

To RSVP, call 446-1416.
