OUR TOWN: Ormond Beach woman named Center of Excellence director

Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center named Dr. Cecille Tapia-Santiago the American Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery Center of Excellence director. 

An Ormond Beach obstetrics and gynecology physician at Florida Memorial Medical Center Women’s Care OB/GYN was recently named director for the American Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery Center of Excellence.

Dr. Cecile Tapia-Santiago is the first physician in Volusia County to earn certification by AIMIS and also serves as the medical director for Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center’s Birth Care Center.

Founded in 2008, AIMIS designates the finest medical facilities as AIMIS Centers of Excellence.
