The Ormond Beach Historical Society was recently awarded $14,796 from the Florida State Legislature.

The Ormond Beach Historical Society got a little bump in its budget recently.

The organization was awarded $14,796 from the Florida State Legislature as a part of their general program support and specific cultural projects grant. The grant will be distributed quarterly starting July 1.

"We are so proud to be the recipient of this grant," Historical Society President Diana Simmons said, "which will help the Society continue the important work being done to share the rich history of Ormond Beach through education and preservation.”
