The PACE Center recently appointed two new board members to serve the school.

Two local professionals were recently appointed to the PACE Center for Girls Volusia-Flagler. Lisa Block McCommon and Michael Slick will work in conjunction with the executive director and PACE, Inc. to determine the vision and strategic focus of the organization to ensure the success and sustainability of the center.

McCommon works as an administrative assistant for a local real estate representative and writes young adult fantasy fiction novels. She has worked in the past as a Language Arts/English teacher for the PACE Volusia – Flagler Center.

Slick is a local attorney and is a member of the Volusia County Bar Association and the Halifax Area Civic league. He also serves on the Boards of the Rotary Club of Ormond Beach and the Early Learning Coalition of Flagler & Volusia.

“I’m thrilled to have Lisa and Michael join our Center Board” Executive Director Lori Richards said. “They join an amazingly dedicated group who care deeply about the girl’s attending our Center. Lisa and Michael both bring passion for our mission and have already begun working towards advocacy and resource development to strengthen our services for at-risk teen girls.”
