Animal Adaptions: Live Animal Show

Sea Turtle Talk

9-10 a.m. at Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area at Flagler Beach, 3100 S. Oceanshore Blvd. Learn the roles sea turtles play in Florida’s ecosystem. Held at the beachside pavilion on the day use side of the park. Call 517-2086.

Marineland Dolphin Adventure Photographic Workshop

9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Marineland Dolphin Adventure. Photographer Ed Siarkowic, of Ocean Art Gallery, will be teaching a workshop about how to take professional photographs. Call 904-471-1111.

Back to School Hayride

5-8 p.m. at the Florida Agricultural Museum, 7900 Old Kings Road N. Closed-toed shoes are recommended. This family event will include a 30-minute hayride around the museum’s grounds, a visit to the 1890s homestead and general store. Movies in the Park

2015 First Church Youth Summit

Trail Maintenance at Bulow Parks

Pits and Hogs Poker Run

The ride will start at 12:30 p.m.; registration will be 10 a.m. to noon at the Moto Stop at 1575 Aviation Center Parkway, Suite 529, in Daytona Beach, and will end up in DeLand. Benefits pit bulls with the help of Second Chance Rescue. At the end of the run in DeLand, meet adoptable dogs. Donations of food, leashes and toys welcomed. Rider fee is $10, passengers $5.
