New accounting business opens

A new business, Sandollar Accounting and Taxes has opened at 1617 Ridgewood Ave.

“Tax season is from now until April 15 and the deadline will be here before you know it,” said owner Elaine Moyses, who is certified by the IRS in their Annual Filing Season Program.

Originally from Brazil, Moyses speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish and has a degree in accounting technology.

Dialysis treatment center expands hours

DaVita, a provider of kidney care services, announced recently that Ormond Beach Dialysis, 495 S. Nova Road, now offers treatment shifts to accommodate working patients.

Dialysis patients who continue to work experience a lower rate of depression, fewer hospitalizations and a higher overall quality of life, according to a statement from the company. The center treats patients on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
