The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. parade made its way from the Carver Center Saturday morning through Bunnell South of State Road 100. The voice of King reciting his famous “I have a Dream” speech played from the truck carrying Grand Marshall Queenie Jackson.

Members of the Order of the Eastern Stars, Kings Academy, the Flagler Palm Coast High School Step Team and the Flagler Knights were just four of the 14 organizations that made up the parade.

“I was so happy to see all that participated in the parade especially the young people,” said Bunnell Commissioner Bonita Robinson at the program that followed the parade. “So much to be thankful for, not only to Dr. King, but the men, women and children who contributed to the freedom and opportunity that we take for granted.”
