The two-day sale featured items from members' own homes.

Walking through the banquet hall of the Historic Anderson Price Memorial Building, items that formally held homes with members of the Ormond Beach Society were currently up for grabs.

Everything from a half-used propane tank to a leather-clad teddy bear to desktop computers and plenty of fondue makers could be found at the society’s annual event. For the right price, participants could find some real gems for cheap prices. Executive Director Suzanne Heddy’s favorite item was from 1895.

“We had a vintage mahjong set,” she gleamed. “The pieces were made from whale bone. It was really neat.”

The society comes up with the massive amount of items through member donations and their own discoveries.

“We always have a really interesting mix of things,” she said. “We had one member donate her entire CD collection. It was over 30 CDs of the classics, and people really like that stuff.”

Proceeds from the event go to fund the society and it’s many community projects.
