After a two-year hiatus, in which St. Augustine won both championships, the Matanzas Lady Pirates are back atop the district mountain, while the boys proved that last year’s district championship was no fluke. Both lacrosse programs downed both St. Augustine’s teams to celebrate district titles on the same night, the girls winning 9-4 while the boys won 23-7, their second straight over the Yellow Jackets.

Heading into the postseason, both teams seem to have waited to unleash their best play for this moment, seeing the boys have won their last two games by a combined score of 45-10, and the girls have pulled off 12 straight games, after starting the season 1-3.
