Robinson honored as student-athlete

The Ormond Beach Lions honored Seabreeze’s Jacob Robinson as the Student-Athlete for the month of January. Robinon has lettered in cross country and track for four years, and he has a 3.8 GPA. He is also a member of the distinguished National Honor Society and has been jointly registered at DBS for the past two years.

Robinson has also passed the Florida Nursery Exam, and is a member of the Future Farmers of America. He is a certified diver and a multiple surf-contest winner. After graduation, Robinson is leaning towards joining the U.S. military.

“It was a privilege to coach Jacob for four years,” coach Don Staller. “He has been very valuable as captain. He served as my communicator to the rest of the team, since I am not particularly tech savvy. Members of the team look up to Jacob and appreciate his leadership.”

Upon receiving the Student-Athlete Plaque, Jacob thanked coaches, Staller and Huckabee; his parents for their support; and the Lions for the special award.
