Chuck Shaffer's company, Palm Coast Real Estate, celebrated its 40th anniversary on March 23. Shaffer, whose real estate career started with ITT in 1985, has owned the company for three years. For Shaffer, owning the original real estate company of Palm Coast is a privilege. He has seen it succeed through the good times and the bad times, and he has seen the industry transform from developmental real estate to resale.

With 160 people in attendance, the parking lot transformed to a party venue. The celebration included a ribbon cutting ceremony, singing performance by Reggy Monsanto, and live artist paintings by Travis Luther.

Best advice

The best advice Chuck Shaffer, owner of Palm Coast Real Estate, was given is “bigger is not always better.” He said he prefers a smaller, friendly business, rather than a corporate approach. Seventy agents aren't necessarily better than the 13 he has at his office, he said.
