St. Joe’s Bakery and Catering is one of Palm Coast’s newest eatery options. The bakery is co-owned by Rebecca Carr, Kevin Geremia, and Stephanie and Steve Small. The walls of the dining area have been recently painted, and visitors may be greeted by the smell of fresh baked bread upon entering.
The bakery offers a variety of desserts, breads and pastries. Bagels may soon be added to the menu, but before that happens co-owner Geremia will visit New Jersey to work on his bagel-making technique.
The bakery also offers full-meal catering. They will be hosting their first large catering event on May 11 for 150 people, and are excited to show the community what they have to offer.
The owners are dedicated to the concept of having everything made from scratch every day. According to them, the freezer is used exclusively for storing the empty boxes to send home the sweet treats with customers.
St. Joe’s Bakery is still learning which baked goods its customers are stopping in for, and so their menu has changed every day. Despite that, not one person had left empty-handed in the time this author was there. “Fresh baked is not fresh made. I want customers to learn what fresh food tastes like again, people have forgotten what fresh is.” said, Geremia
The bakery is located at 230 St. Joe Plaza Drive.
According to Palm Coast’s Business Assistance Center, the following companies were issued tax receipts for May 2 through May 6.

Speed Constructions applied for a $85,000 permit for interior renovations to Perfect Pizza at 160 Cypress Point Parkway unit C201.
Commercial Construction applied for a $3,500 permit for interior renovations at 6 Commerce Blvd.
Kehle applied for a $105,000 permit for renovations to existing building at 77 Hardgrove Grade.
Nialvi LLC applied for a $40,000 permit for interior alterations at 250 Palm Coast Parkway NE, unit 213.
Florida Green Construction applied for a $15,000 permit for interior alternations at 160 Cypress Point Parkway, unit A213.

Stephen Kenny and Associates was issued a $17,000 permit for a canopy and fencing for Salsa’s at 250 Palm Coat Parkway NE, unit 401.
McCumber Homes was issued a $2,000 permit for alterations to unit 208C and 209C at 4500 Palm Coat Parkway NW, building C.
Residential Permits Issued
Holiday Builders was issued a $245,000 permit for a single-family residence at 104 Park Place Circle.
Seagate Homes was issued a $292,000 permit for a single-family residence at 155 Eric Drive.
Seagate Homes was issued a $306,000 permit for a single-family residence at 4 Eastvue Place.
Vanacore Construction was issued a $289,000 permit for a single-family residence at 19 Folson Lane.
Occupancy Permit
Brian Beissel was issued an occupancy permit for PC Nutrition at 1 Florida Park Drive, unit 105C.
Confidence Care of Florida was issued an occupancy permit for Confident Care of Florida Corporation a home care agency at 3 Pine Cone Drive, unit 107.
Certificate of Occupancy
Stephen Kenny was issued a certificate of occupancy for $80,000 for Salsa’s Restaurant at 250 Palm Coat Parkway NE, unit 401.
Developmental Order
Chase Bank was issued a developmental order on April 29 for a 3,600 sq. ft. Chase Bank with drive through lanes, paved parking, landscaping and utilities at 214 Palm Coast Parkway NE.
