Flagler Beach’s Beach House Beanery has closed its doors. Jeff and Carol Fisher made the announcement on May 10 with a farewell letter on their Facebook page.

In the letter it said, “We will not be gone! We plan to become regulars at the new Beanery.”

The Fishers announced that two sisters from Maryland, Colette and Michele, have the same dream of having a coffee house. Colette and Michele will be taking over the Beanery and will be opening at the end of May.

According to the voicemail message on the Beanery’s phone the Fisher’s sold the Beanery to the sisters. The message also said that the phone number should stay the same and to call closer to the end of May for operating hours.

According to Palm Coast’s Business Assistance Center, the following companies were issued tax receipts for May 9-May 13.

 

  • Commercial-based business: Southern Title a title agency at 2298 Colbert Lane
  • Home-based business: Goldstar Group LLC a janitorial service; Little Explorer Daycare Inc. a daycare service; Silver Breeze LLC a handyman service

 

PERMITS

The following is an update for permit activity in the city for May 5-11. Total number of permits issued: 228. Since January 2009, $900,478,000 construction dollars have been invested in Palm Coast.

 

Commercial Permit Applications

Albu and Associates applied for $165,000 site development for Chase Bank at 214 Palm Coast Parkway NE.

Dimare Construction applied for $40,000 site development for an addition to Palm Coast Baptist Church at 5435 Belle Terre Parkway.

 

Commercial Permits Issued

Fulcrum Construction was issued a permit for $780,000 for Dollar General at 20 Old Kings Road N.

Paulon Construction was issued a permit for $700,000 for Aspen Dental at 4873 Belle Terre Parkway.

Speed Construction was issued a permit for $85,000 for alterations to Perfect Pizza at 160 Cypress Point Parkway C201.

Florida Green Construction was issued a permit for $15,000 for alterations to three walls and doors at 160 Cypress Point Parkway A213.

Dav-Lin Contractors was issued a permit for $11,000 for a demising wall at 250 Palm Coast Parkway NE.

Commercial Construction was issued a permit for $4,000 for office demo at 6 Commerce Blvd.

Olsen Homes was issued a $3,980,000 permit for a single-family residence at 88 Front Street.

Olsen Homes was issued a $400,000 permit for a single-family residence at 105 Willow Oak Way.

Costa Enterprises was issued a $362,000 permit for a single-family residence at 33 Cleveland Court.

Everlast Homes was issued a $323,000 permit for a single-family residence at 9 Lewiston Court.

Adams Homes was issued a $311,000 permit for a single-family residence at 27 Lancelot Drive.

DR Horton was issued a $309,000 permit for a single-family residence at 42 Country Club Harbor Circle.

DR Horton was issued a $224,000 permit for a single-family residence at 32 Country Club Harbor Circle.

Adams Homes was issued a $203,000 permit for a single-family residence at 24 Riviere Lane.

Adams Homes was issued a $202,000 permit for a single-family residence at 39 Fernmill Lane.

Seagate homes was issued a $177,000 permit for a single-family residence at 67 Selma Trail.

 

Occupancy Permits

Debra Sephton was issued an occupancy permit for Atlantic Benefit Consultant an insurance agency at 1 Florida Park Drive unit 100.

Joe Li was issued an occupancy permit for Golden Feet a physician office at 6 Office Park Drive.

Ralph Lightfoot was issued an occupancy permit for Flagler County Democratic Executive Committee at 2 Office Park Drive suite C.

 

Developmental Order Applications

Palm Coast Arts Foundation was issued a developmental order for a site plan modification for the stage at 1500 Central Ave.

Andy Dance was issued a developmental order for a site plan modification for RaceTrac modifications at 5893 State Road 100.
