Sidelines: Matanzas girls cross country wins back-to-back district championships

The Pirates' boys and girls cross country teams competed in the district championship on Saturday, Oct. 28, at New Smyrna Beach High School. The boys team finished in third place, while the girls team captured their second district title in a row. Four of the girls finished in the top five with senior Rain Marti taking the individual title.

FPC boys cross country claims second at districts

The Flagler Palm Coast boys and girls cross country teams competed in the district championship on Saturday, Oct. 28, at Santa Fe College in Gainesville. The girls team finished in fifth place, while the boys team finished in second place.

Boys:

6th Shawn Gordon, 16:59.46

7th Seth Peters, 16:59.73

17th Eduardo Lopez, 17:51.20

18th Allen Roberson, 17:52.52

Girls:

14th Namiah Simpson, 21:06.85

Bulldogs girls golf captures district title, finishes fourth in regional

On Oct. 17, the Flagler Palm Coast girls golf team won the district title with a team score of 372. No. 1-spot player Olivia Whitten paced the Bulldogs with a 76 to capture the individual title.

On Oct. 24, the Bulldogs returned to action for the regional tournament, where they finished fourth. Whitten finished in the third place individually.
