Atlantic

Atlantic had given up at least 50 points in the first three games of the season. Saturday, Sept. 23, was no different, as the Sharks (0-4) were routed by New Smyrna Beach 60-6 at New Smyrna Beach High School.

The Barracudas put up 47 points before halftime, including the first 33 points of the game.

Atlantic got on the board with a 20-yard pass from sophomore quarterback Gio Goodwin to Jaylon Pressley.

The Sharks play against Astronaut at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, in Titusville.

Spruce Creek

Spruce Creek (4-0) recorded its third shut out of the season in a 44-0 win over Haines City on Friday, Sept. 22.

Thirty-seven of the Hawks' points came on offense. Free safety Jhemez Hull returned an interception for a touchdown for the team's second score of the game in the first quarter. It was the first of two interceptions for Hull.

“I thought we started out a little bit flat,” Spruce Creek coach Timothy Price said. “But after the first quarter, we got things together. … It wasn’t a bad night.”

The Hawks will play a neutral conference game against DeLand on Friday, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m.
