Two dead, including Bunnell's Savannah Sizemore, 30, after crash on State Road 40

Lily Gonzalez, 18, of Altoona, also died in the crash.

An accident at 8:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, left two women dead, according to a release by Florida Highway Patrol.

Savannah Sizemore, a 30-year-old Bunnell resident, was driving westbound on State Road 40 in Volusia County. Lily Gonzalez, 18, of Altoona, was heading eastbound, near the intersection with State Road 11. For “some unknown reason,” the report states, Sizemore drifted into the eastbound lane and the front of her 2012 Ford Fiesta struck the front of Gonzalez’s 2000 Toyota Avalon.

Both women were pronounced dead. The crash remains under investigation.
